The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Washington Stehekin River at Stehekin affecting Chelan County. For the Stehekin Riverincluding StehekinMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.
Where: Stehekin River at Stehekin.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 20.5 feet, water inundates some properties and overtops the temporary corduroy bridge. Company Creek Road inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped. Water begins damaging Wood Road.
Additional Details: - At 11:30 AM PDT Saturday the stage was 21.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 19.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to gradually recede through the next couple of days, dropping below flood stage by May 17. It is forecasted to rise back above flood stage on May 19. - Flood stage is 20.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
