Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texa
S: Village Creek Near Kountze affecting Hardin County. Pine Island Bayou Near Sour Lake affecting Hardin and Jefferson Counties.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texa
S: Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier affecting Hardin, Orange, Jefferson and Jasper Counties. For the Neches Riverincluding Town Bluff, Evadale, Neches River Saltwater BarrierModerate flooding is forecast. For the Village Creekincluding KountzeMajor flooding is forecast. For the Pine Island Bayouincluding Sour LakeMinor flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Thursday afternoon at noon CDT.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 7.0 feet, Water begins to go over Bigner Road into the saltwater barrier. Water also cuts off most access to the Four Oaks Ranch Road downstream of Four Oaks boat launch. Flooding of Colliers Ferry Park and secondary roads near the river can be expected.
Additional Details: - At 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 3.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight and continue rising to a crest of 6.9 feet Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 4.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
