Description

What: Heat index values up to 95 expected.
Where: Coastal Rockingham County.
When: From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.
Impacts: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Additional Details: It will remain warm tonight as overnight lows only dip into the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Description

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has issued an Air Quality Alert for ozone in from 10 AM to 10 PM EDT Tuesday. Ozone levels in Rockingham County are expected to rise into the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is predicting unhealthy air quality for sensitive individuals in the above- mentioned counties. Sensitive individuals include children and older adults; anyone with lung disease such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis; and people who are active outdoors. Even healthy individuals may experience mild health effects and should consider limiting strenuous or prolonged outdoor activities.
