The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri Grand River near Chillicothe affecting Linn and Livingston Counties. Grand River near Sumner affecting Linn, Livingston, Carroll and Chariton Counties.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Grand River near Sumner.
When: From this afternoon to Tuesday evening.
Impacts: At 28.0 feet, rural roads are under water.
Additional Details: - At 11:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 7.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 30.2 feet just after midnight tonight. THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MISSOURI THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 13 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI CALDWELL DAVIESS GRUNDY HARRISON LINN LIVINGSTON MERCER PUTNAM SULLIVAN IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI DEKALB GENTRY NODAWAY WORTH THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALBANY, BETHANY, BRAYMER, BRECKENRIDGE, BROOKFIELD, CHILLICOTHE, CLARKSDALE, GALLATIN, GRANT CITY, GREEN CITY, HAMILTON, JAMESPORT, KING CITY, MARCELINE, MARYVILLE, MAYSVILLE, MERCER, MILAN, OSBORN, POLO, PRINCETON, STANBERRY, STEWARTSVILLE, TRENTON, UNION STAR, AND UNIONVILLE.

What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: Portions of north central and northwest Missouri, including the following areas, in north central Missouri, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Linn MO, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan. In northwest Missouri, Andrew, Atchison MO, De Kalb, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth.
When: Through Sunday afternoon.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
Additional Details: - Heavy rainfall has already resulted in flooding in some portions of the watch area. Additional rainfall is forecast, which is expected to augment current flooding, and flooding areas may expand beyond where flooding is currently at. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
