Aperçu du potentiel d'inondation
Significant ponded and standing water could impact travel Tuesday Night and Wednesday morning as heavy rain moves back into the area, especially along and south of I-96. Saturated soils from recent rainfall will make this problem worse, especially if storms track over urban areas repeatedly. As this water finds its way into the rivers, some minor river flooding is expected later this week, as water levels are still high after last weekends rains. With rain totals of 1-2 inches possible, the most at-risk rivers for flooding are the mid-sized tributaries on the Grand River, including the Maple River, Sycamore Creek, and the Red Cedar River. If rain amounts overperform, minor flooding on the Grand River itself will be possible. The latest water level data is always available at weather.gov/grr This statement will be updated on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
