The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Cook and Lake IL Counties. For the Des Plaines Riverincluding Russell, Gurnee, LincolnshireMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Des Plaines River from Townline Road in Libertyville downstream to Palatine Road in Prospect Heights, including the Lincolnshire gauge.
When: From Tuesday afternoon to early Friday afternoon.
Impacts: At 13.0 feet, Low-lying trails in Wright Woods Forest Preserve are inundated.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 12.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage Tuesday afternoon to a crest of 13.1 feet early Thursday morning.
