At 1108 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northwest of Fruita, or 16 miles northwest of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 50 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include Mack and Loma. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 9 and 16. Colorado 139 between mile markers 1 and 10.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
