dimanche, 3 juillet 2022 à 08:34 - Chaba, le troisième typhon de l'année, a touché terre samedi vers 15 h, plus précisément, la zone côtière de la ville de Maoming, dans la province chinoise du Guangdong. Plusieurs personnes sont portées disparues après la rupture d’un navire.
Plus de 400 vols annulés
Vents violents et pluie diluvienne. Le typhon Chaba a fait des dégâts. À Hainan, des rafales jusqu’à 120 km/h ont été rapportées. Le gouvernement provincial a annoncé que 47 habitants de l'île du Hainan avaient été évacués par crainte de catastrophes géologiques. Plus de 400 vols ont été annulés et les services ferroviaires suspendus. Les activités touristiques, maritimes et aériennes ont également été stoppées.

Une grue flottante a coulé dans les eaux côtières de la province chinoise du Guangdong (sud), en mer de Chine méridionale, faisant 27 disparus. Trois membres d'équipage ont été secourus par des hélicoptères du gouvernement de Hong Kong et des opérations de recherche sont toujours en cours pour retrouver les membres d'équipage disparus.

Des tornades observées
Chaba a même généré des tornades qui ont causé des dommages matériels dans plusieurs villes comme à Zhanjiang, à Foshan et à Chaozhou où des toitures ont été emportées. Aucune victime n'a été signalée. À noter également : selon le Centre national de prévisions hydro-météorologiques, le 3 juillet à 1 h, le typhon Chaba s'est affaibli en une dépression tropicale.
