...The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a FloodAdvisory for the following rivers in New Mexico...Rio Chama Below Chamita affecting Rio Arriba County..High mountain snow melt and increased reservoir releases will causethe river flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstreamfrom the dam.* WHAT...Flooding caused by upstream dam release is expected.* WHERE...Rio Chama below Chamita.* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Bankfull stage. Properties immediatelyadjacent to the river upstream of the bridge on SR-74 andespecially near the junction with the Rio Ojo Caliente may seewater encroach onto low lying areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 9:00 AM MDT Wednesday the stage was 5.5 feet.- Bankfull stage is 5.5 feet.- Forecast...The river will stay near bankfull stage of 5.5feet through at least the next several day.
